In a perfect combination of these two European capitals and the Iberian peninsula, this is a trip to the past to get to know a little of these two countries. Visit palaces and castles, monasteries and museums that hold stories, legends that will leave you amazed. And don't miss the opportunity to taste the traditional sweets from each region.

 

Places to visit:

Visit the monuments of Belém and take the opportunity to sample the famous “Pastéis de Belém” served since 1841. Also visit the Museu dos Coches, with the world's largest collection of leisure and ceremonial vehicles from the 16th to the 19th centuries, and also visit the Museu da Marinha.

Come and visit the Mercado da Ribeira, at Cais do Sodré and try the traditional drink “Ginginha de Óbidos”.

On a visit to the past, be dazzled by the Queluz Palace and its beautiful gardens. Head to the romantic capital, Sintra. In this wonderful village you can visit the Palácio da Vila, Palácio da Pena and Castelo dos Mouros and fall in love with its landscapes.

Go to the westernmost point in Europe, Cabo da Roca, and enjoy “where the land ends and the sea begins”. Also visit Boca do Inferno, in Cascais, a breathtaking place.

Discover a picturesque Lisbon, visiting the Miradouro da Graça and enjoy its fabulous view over the city and the Tejo River. Head to São Jorge Castle, which is located on the highest hill among the seven in Lisbon. Go down to Avenida da Liberdade, where you can find several brands and designer stores. Follow the two most emblematic squares in the city, Restauradores and Rossio, and end this tour of Lisbon at Terreiro do Paço.

Another of the places in Portugal to visit is Tomar, the “City of the Knights Templar” in which the Convent became the seat of the Military Order of Christ. And you can't leave Tomar without tasting the “Cornucópias” typical sweet of the region. And to have a moment of peace and introspection, nothing better than visiting Fátima, a religious place that receives thousands of pilgrims every year. You can visit the Sanctuary of Fátima, its churches, chapels and even its Museum.

Next stop, Batalha. Let yourself be amazed by the Monastery of Batalha and its collection of stained glass. Go back to the Middle Ages and visit the Batalha de Aljubarrota Foundation, where you can learn more about the epic battle between Portugal and Spain.

Visit Alcobaça and its Monastery, the first Gothic style building that dates back to 1178. And if you are a great wine lover then this is the perfect place to enjoy one of the best wines in the region at the Wine Museum in Alcobaça.

Also go to Nazaré, the city known for its huge waves and where the surfer Garrett McNamara surfed a wave of 34 meters, thus joining Guinness World Records.

Finish this tour in the Spanish capital Madrid. Visit the Prado Museum with beautiful and precious works of art, it is considered one of the most important museums in the world. Go to Plaza Mayor, Portas do Sol and Plaza de la Villa.

You will be guided to Spanish origins, to emblematic streets and places in the city. Also try Iberian cuisine in a typical Spanish restaurant.

Go Aranjuez and visit the Royal Palace and its gardens, this is one of the official residences of the King of Spain. Take the opportunity to take a boat trip on the river.
